Fingerprinting

Washington State law (RCW 28A.400.303) requires that all new employees of a school district be fingerprinted for a record check through the Washington State Patrol (WSP) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This includes both school site faculty and Home Office staff.

Please prioritize completing your fingerprints and background check prior to your state date. We will monitor your results thereafter. The fingerprinting and background check fees are covered by the employee. Until we receive your fingerprints and background check, you are not permitted to be left alone with scholars. If you are coming from out of state, you can order a fingerprint card by emailing oppfp@k12.wa.us or calling 360.725.6135

Materials / Technology

Impact ID Badge: all Impact employees are required to wear an Impact ID badge when entering our buildings. Click here to upload a professional photo for your Impact ID Badge. You can pick up your Impact ID badge from your campus' main office in 2-4 weeks.

Laptop: All Impact faculty will receive a laptop within the first week of employment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the use of technology, please email help@impactps.org.

RPZ Permit (I|SSE only): Impact | Salish Sea Elementary is located in an unusually dense environment with restricted parking in all areas within a 10 minute walk of the school, and no on-site parking. For this reason, Impact is subsidizing RPZ permits and public transit passes, and strongly encourages employees to utilize public transit. Please click here to complete the parking permit/ transit pass survey.

New Hire Compliance FAQ
