School Year 24-25 Bus Routes:

School Year 25-26 Bus Routes:

  • Impact | Puget Sound Elementary (I|PSE) SY25-26 Bus Routes
  • Impact | Salish Sea Elementary (I|SSE) SY25-26 Bus Routes
  • Impact | Commencement Bay Elementary (I|CBE) SY25-26 Bus Routes
  • Impact | Black River Elementary (I|BRE) SY25-26 Bus Routes

Impact Public Schools prioritizes safety during our dismissal processes. Please see the important information below about backpack and pick up tags as well as school bus transportation.

Backpack and Pick Up Tags: All families are provided a backpack tag for their scholar and matching pick up tags for the family at the beginning of the school year. To pick up a scholar from the school building or from the bus stop, an adult must have a pick up tag that matches their scholar’s backpack tag. Please be aware that all scholars must come to school each day with their backpack tag attached to their backpack to support safe dismissal procedures. IF an adult does not have their pick up tag at dismissal, they must come to the front desk with their photo ID to have their identity verified before a scholar can be released to their care.

School Buses: Impact Public Schools offers bus transportation to and from school. Please be aware that bus routes may be adjusted accordingly to family demand and actual ridership.

Signing Up for the Bus: If you plan to use the school bus, you need to indicate this information on your Back to School Survey over the summer. If you would like to sign up for the bus later in the school year, please contact your school’s Director of Operations. Adding a new student to the bus requires 72 hours for our bus vendor.

Bus Family Expectations:

  • Families will be asked to download the Zum bus rider app to track their child’s ride.
  • Families will be asked to make changes to the riders dismissal plans prior to the stop time for arrival changes, or by 10am for dismissal changes.
  • All families are asked to be at the stop time 3-5 min prior to the stop time to ensure that buses run on time.
  • All scholars must be met by an ADULT to be picked up from the bus. Students without an adult will be returned to school at the end of the route.
  • Families with students who are returned to school 3x may be invited to a meeting with the schools Operations Team.

Bus Rider Expectations:

  • All bus scholars are expected to remain seated on the bus at all times for safety reasons. If your scholar is unsafe on the bus, they may no longer be able to ride the bus.
  • All Scholars must be picked up by a parent or guardian from the bus. The bus will not leave scholars unattended. We ask all parents to arrive 5 min before the posted stop time.
  • Scholars are not allowed to eat or drink on the bus.
  • Assigned seats may be set up for bus riders if needed.

School Meals

School Meal Resources:

Breakfast and lunch are both offered at Impact Public Schools each day for free! Our schools participate in a federal program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows all children in our schools access to free meals.

School Meals: Impact Public Schools partners with Fresh N Local to provide grab and go breakfasts and hot lunches at each of our schools. All school meals meet the USDA nutritional requirements for the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. Each breakfast meal includes fruit and milk, each lunch meal includes fruit, vegetables, and milk, and all school meals are nut-free and pork-free.  This month’s menu is available at your school’s front desk and posted on ParentSquare.

Dietary Accommodations: Alternate meals (vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free) are available for scholars with any health-related dietary restrictions such as allergies or digestive conditions. In order to request dietary accommodations, you will need to complete the Special Dietary Accommodations Form, which requires a healthcare provider's signature. Please email the completed form to your school’s Director of School Operations.

The Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application: Impact Public Schools participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, which means all students at our schools have access to free meals regardless of family income. However, we encourage all families to complete The Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application to determine if they are eligible for Summer EBT benefits and to qualify for reduced fees for other programs and activities, such as uniform assistance. The CNEEB Application will ask for information about all members of your household and all income received. All questions must be completed to determine your eligibility for benefits. You can complete this application or choose to opt out if you do not wish to share this information.

Uniforms

 Uniform Resources:

Uniforms and a dress code help maintain a school culture of unity and academic excellence. Our students wear uniforms to make it easier for families, avoid the inevitable distractions and status distinctions caused by clothing and ensure that our students are focused on learning.

How to Order Uniforms: Impact Public Schools provides every new family with at least one embroidered unisex polo for each student. To purchase additional uniforms, please go to www.frenchtoastschoolbox.com and enter the school code: QS5SEFE. We recommend purchasing your scholar’s uniforms by August so that there is sufficient time for your uniforms to arrive in the mail.

Solid colored khaki pants, shorts, skirt (two tab scooter skirt) or jumper (v-neck, pleated) without logos or embellishments.

Solid colored navy polo shirt (short or long sleeved) or cardigan with Impact logo.

    • If your child has shoes with laces, please ensure they can tie them on their own before the first day of school. If not, please send students with velcro shoes.

Uniform Assistance: Uniforms should never be a barrier to a child receiving a high-quality education. As such, Impact Public Schools provides uniform assistance to qualifying families, which includes two branded shirts and one set of bottoms, pants or skirts.

To request uniform assistance, please complete the Uniform Assistance Form

Eligibility for uniform assistance is determined by the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application. Families must complete the CNEEB before our team can determine your eligibility for uniform assistance.

Health & Safety

Health Resources:

Safety Resources:

Your scholar's health and safety is of the utmost importance. Please see the information below related to health and safety at our schools.

Health Conditions & Medication at School: If your child has a health condition or requires medication during the school day, our school nurse will partner with your family to ensure all necessary paperwork is collected and your child’s health needs are supported at school. Please see the important steps below:

  1. Connect with the School Nurse: Please contact the school nurse directly at schoolnurse@impactps.org if your child has a health condition or requires medication at school. Our school nurse also proactively contacts all families who indicate their child has a health condition in their enrollment packet.
  2. Complete Required Paperwork: Based on your scholar’s health condition, download and complete the appropriate paperwork. (These documents are also available at the school building if needed.) All health paperwork must be completed by the scholar’s parents/guardians AND licensed healthcare provider.
  3. Bring Medications to School: Fill any prescriptions at the pharmacy if necessary and bring medications in original containers with labels that include the name and dosage. Please be aware that schools cannot accept prescription OR over the counter medication without all required health paperwork completed by a licensed healthcare provider.
  4. Review Individualized Care Plan: The school nurse will design an individualized care plan for your scholar based on your conversation and completed paperwork from your licensed healthcare provider. You will have an opportunity to review and sign off on the care plan. If at any time your scholar’s health or medication needs change, please contact schoolnurse@impactps.org to adjust the plan.

Immunizations: According to the Washington Administrative Code WAC 246-105-030, any child attending school, preschool, or childcare in Washington State is required by law to be fully vaccinated or have an exemption in place. Students who do not meet the vaccination requirements for school entry will be excluded from school, per Revised Code of Washington RCW 28A.210.120.

  • What vaccines are required? For Kindergarten - 5th grade attendance, the following vaccinations are required:
    • DTaP/Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) - 5 Doses
    • Hepatitis B - 3 Doses
    • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) - 2 Doses
    • Polio - 4 Doses
    • Varicella (chicken pox) - 2 Doses
  • How do I know if my child does not meet the vaccination requirements? You will be contacted directly by an Impact school nurse with an explanation of which vaccinations your child still requires for school compliance.
  • When should I schedule my child’s vaccination visit? We strongly encourage you to schedule your child’s vaccination visit as early as possible with their health care provider to ensure your child is up to date well before the first day of school.
  • What do vaccines cost? Clinics in the Vaccines For Children (VFC) program provide childhood vaccines at no cost in the state of Washington. Providers may charge an office visit fee and a fee to administer the vaccine, called an administration fee. If you cannot pay the administration fee, you can ask your health care provider to waive the cost. Find VFC clinics by using this vaccine map at https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/vaccinemap
  • Where can I get more information? For more information about immunization requirements, visit https://www.doh.wa.gov/SCCI. You can also contact  schoolnurse@impactps.org with specific questions.

Safety: The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.

  • How does Impact Public Schools manage emergencies? In the event of an emergency, we follow the procedures outlined in our School Safety Plan, which includes evacuation, shelter-in-place, soft lockdown and hard lockdown procedures based on the nature of the emergency. We are committed to communicating with our families and will do so via ParentSquare as soon as we are able once we have accounted for all student and faculty safety. To ensure we are prepared for emergencies, we practice these procedures in safety drills that are conducted every month.  After each drill, we send a notification to our families via ParentSquare.
  • How does the Impact Public Schools handle threats of violence? All lethal or potentially lethal statements whether verbal or written, including electronic, are to be taken seriously and investigated, including the partnership of local law enforcement when needed. Impact Public Schools has a no tolerance policy against firearms and dangerous weapons on its campuses and at network-sponsored activities.
  • How can I support my child’s safety at school? Be sure your school has your most current contact information as well as the names and information of at least two emergency contacts. Contact your school at any time if you need to update your contact information.
