Video Interview: From Teaching Fellow to Lead Teacher!

At Impact, our teachers are a top priority and we strive every day to ensure they are guided throughout their career journey. Impact Teaching Fellows are passionate, aspiring educators who are new to the teaching profession. They are placed in classrooms with more experienced Lead Teachers, where they co-teach and lead small-group instruction throughout the day. Teaching Fellows receive 1:1 coaching and attend weekly professional development sessions to further build their practice. At the conclusion of their first year, a Teaching Fellow can apply for promotion to Lead Teacher. Impact also supports Teaching Fellows in applying to and paying for a certification program, resulting in a Washington teaching license.
