Announcing Impact’s New Chief of Staff

We’re thrilled to announce that Amy Kiyota has been promoted to our senior leadership team as Chief of Staff. Starting April 1, she will co-lead the organization with CEO Jen Wickens, the Chief team, and our principals this spring to prepare for a strong launch of the 2022/23 school year! We are 100% focused on ensuring our fall launch is our strongest yet. In this role, Amy will continue to lead our amazing school operations team.

Impact has been so fortunate to have Amy’s passion, skill, and deep commitment to mission. Amy most recently served as the Senior Director of Operations supporting operational excellence across all three of our schools. Amy started at Impact as part of the founding team as the Manager of Operations supporting our first school – Impact | Puget Sound Elementary, and continued to support as the founding Assistant Principal of Operations. Prior to moving to Washington, Amy was Director of Operations for a public charter school in Brooklyn, Uncommon Schools. Amy holds a deep commitment to educational excellence and community building through her experiences working with nonprofits and schools. Amy served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, the Managing Director of Development at Educators 4 Excellence, and various other roles in the arts and education sector. She graduated summa cum laude from Ursinus College and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Amy lives in South Seattle and in her spare time tries to keep up with her daughter, Namika. She lives our core value of Team WA, serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Catalyst Public Schools in Bremerton.
