Meet the Leadership Team

Kristina Curran

Kristina Curran

Principal
Principal Kristina Curran joined Impact Public Schools in 2021 as a Kindergarten Teacher and Teacher Leader, and became Assistant Principal in 2022. With nearly a decade of experience in education, she leads with joy and a strong belief that all scholars can succeed. Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Curran began her career at Uncommon Schools and holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Journalism from the University of Delaware. She is deeply committed to building strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff, and to supporting each scholar’s individual journey. Ms. Curran is excited to continue her leadership as the incoming Principal of PSE.
Katy Hatch

Katy Hatch

Assistant Principal
Katy Hatch is honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Impact | Puget Sound Elementary. She began her journey with Impact as a teaching fellow during the school’s second year and has since taken on several leadership roles, including lead teacher, grade team lead, and mentor teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in teaching with a specialization in English Language Learner (ELL) instruction. A proud Kent, Washington native, Katy is passionate about supporting scholars in reaching their full potential. She believes deeply that all scholars are capable of achieving their goals and finds joy in helping them grow both academically and personally. Katy is excited to continue partnering with families and staff to foster a learning environment where every scholar feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Lauren Sluss

Lauren Sluss

Assistant Principal
Originally from Colorado, Lauren has called the Pacific Northwest home for the past nine years. She studied Political Science and Spanish at Oregon State University, where she also played rugby. A research fellowship at Stanford sparked Ms. Sluss' passion for education, leading her to earn a Master’s in Elementary Education and begin her teaching journey. After three wonderful years at Puget Sound Elementary, she served as School Manager and Mentor Teacher at Black River Elementary. Ms. Sluss is now thrilled to return to PSE as Assistant Principal and help create a joyful, supportive learning environment for all scholars. Outside of school, you’ll find her hiking, playing volleyball, or enjoying a good Stephen King novel.

Liz Goodmanson

Director of School Operations
Liz comes with 15+ years of operational and leadership experience, with a track record for people development and seeing the true potential in each individual. Outside of her professional career, she is a mom in the Impact community, with two sons attending. For Liz, her family is the reason for each and every day. The values that the Impact community has is what made Liz know that she wanted to be a part of this community at a deeper level. She started her Impact career founding our newest location at Black River Elementary as a School Manager and she is very excited to continue her Impact journey at Puget Sound Elementary as a Director of School Operations.
